Dara Strickland, BVMS

Dr. Dara joined the Endless Mountains Veterinary Family in July 2021.  Dr. Dara graduated with an undergraduate degree in Animal Sciences from LSU and then graduated with a Veterinary degree from the University of Glasgow, Scotland.  She is passionate about preventative health care for pets and client education.  Her professional interests include animal behavior, training, and rehabilitation.  Dr. Dara is also interested in the historical development of different dog breeds and helping people find the right breed for their lifestyle.  She is passionate about her faith and church community.  Enjoys writing and traveling.  Most of her family is in Texas where she grew up, but her parents live in Indonesia where she spent her high school years and developed a deep love for South-East Asia. Her cat, Micia, is named after the Italian word for "kitty" as a nod to the culture and country she most recently added to her favorite places; and her incredible collie, Clark, came to her during her first year in Scotland, where she now has a whole second family of people she loves.  Dr. Dara enjoys adventuring with Clark, and you may find him out and about with her, as he is also trained as her service dog to assist her in certain public places.
