Alexis Garbarino- Small Animal Veterinary Assistant

Alexis joined our Endless Mountains Veterinary Staff in May 2019 as an assistant in our Owego location.  Alexis is a DVM candidate, class of 2021 at the School of Veterinary Medicine, St. George's University.  We're excited to be part of her educational journey through vet school and to have her on board for the summer of 2019.  Alexis is very passionate about truly taking the time to get to know and interact with each and every client and patient in order to make them feel loved and important in and out of the clinic!  She has a Bachelor's degree in Biology and dual minor in Chemistry and Psychology from Le Moyne College.  She still has a few more years to go but is very interested in someday specializing in Oncology or Shelter Medicine.  Alexis comes from a small knit Italian family and has a yellow Labrador named "Lucia".  In her spare time she enjoys working out, playing pick-up Lacrosse, listening to country music and spending time with her family and friends.  Alexis also volunteers every Christmas Day with her dad and sister to serve and/or deliver Christmas dinners at the American Legion Post 80.  She also volunteers at the One Health One Medicine Clinics for the Island of Grenada.  These clinics provide vaccinations, medical care, and education to the more rural areas of the island!
