Katie McCue - Small Animal Assistant

Katie has returned November 2018 after some time away in California.  She is back in the area and we are glad to have her back in the Endless Mountains Veterinary Family.  She originally joined the Endless Mountains Veterinary family in December 2017.  Katie was born and raised in a small town called Noxen.  As a child she was lucky to have grown up on a mini farm, she started riding horses before she could walk.  There were all types of animals which included horses, chickens, guinea pigs, dogs, and more!  Katie currently has one horse named "Snapper Doodle".  Katie competed for a couple years in a rodeo club name Keystone Junior Rodeo Association with "Snapper Doodle" competing in Barrel Racing and Pole Bending.  She also has four cats, a Golden Retriever and a German Shepherd as family pets.  She also has her very own fur baby named "Loki" with her boyfriend.  "Loki" is a Siberian Husky and the love of their life!

For as long as she can remember, she always wanted to work with animals, especially equine.  Katie started out working at many horse barns with her mom as a kid.  From there, she got a part-time job as a Small Animal Technician with an awesome local Veterinarian who taught her the ins and outs of a vet tech, she loved what she was doing instantly. She knew this was going to be the path she would take for the rest of her life.

Katie is currently enrolled in school for a Certified Veterinarian Technician, once obtained, she plans on getting certified in Rehabilitating Equines.  When she is not working at EMVC, you will find her out hiking, taking pictures, riding her horse, or hanging out with family and friends.
